Very close to falling for the $ZEC psyop ngl Privacy is a sector that I’ve consistently believed is undervalued mostly because (1) people don’t care as much as they should & (2) governments have sought to limit access to privacy tech These are the same reasons I haven’t held any ZEC or XMR as investments despite having strong beliefs about their value proposition But if ZEC carries this influx of liquidity well, continues to grow, and sees an inflow of intellectual capital / developers; I see no reason why it wouldn’t eventually be priced much higher The questions I’m still asking myself are: 1. What has changed between 2017 & now that would drive zcash to sustained adoption? In effect, whether to look at this as a momentum trade or whether to view it as potentially the ignition point for large scale privacy assets. 2. What needs to happen for ZEC to be understood widely as “encrypted bitcoin” and what valuation would that command? 3. What are they building to make it more accessible on-chain, what are the limitations it has in terms of privacy currently & are they possible to address / already being addressed? In effect, how will people access it; and how truly private can it be when confronted with top-class deanonymization tactics? It is one of the areas that excites me in crypto so I’m happy to see it gaining at least some traction. If you’re better studied on $ZEC than me, hit me up as I’m in the process of researching.
