⭕️ Breaking: U.S. Opposes Israel’s Plan to Revive Gaza Humanitarian Foundation
Haaretz reports that Israel is seeking to revive the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation to resume aid distribution along the “Yellow Line,” where IDF troops are currently deployed. The plan, drafted by Israeli security officials, would create 10–20 aid points under army protection. U.S. officials have rejected it as “unrealistic,” insisting aid must be delivered deep inside Gaza — not just on the outskirts — and warning that civilians should not be forced to travel long distances into militarized zones for food and essentials.
Israeli forces previously used GHF aid sites to open fire on starving civilians, killing over 2,300 Palestinians after the foundation’s launch in late May 2025.
Reuters reported earlier this month that Washington was reviewing alternative aid distribution models, while Secretary Rubio in comments to reporters from Israel, dismissed any role for UNRWA – despite it being the most experienced and perhaps the most trusted humanitarian agency in Gaza.
