On one hand, I love that people are amazed at the powers of Opus 4.5 for vibecoding / building apps. It's Idea Guy season for a reason. but thats not going far enough. The cost of entry into adjacent domains has collapsed. Try: - Automating the grunt work of market microstructure research, like order book reconstruction, trade classification, variance decomposition? - Solving a mathematical theorem with the model as a collaborator? (insane lol) - Creating a multi-agent "red room" team for research? like, highly realistic socratic dialogue, rules for debating etc? - Engaging with the ghosts of Spencer-Brown and Fichte to see whether your ontological argument is actually load-bearing? - Building data pipelines that ingest, clean, and feed live into trading infrastructure? - Writing a backtesting framework from scratch in an afternoon? - Going from "I wonder if this spread relationship exists" to statistical validation to live monitoring in 48 hours? The bottleneck now is taste, follow-through, and being willing to actually try. I love my life and I love the future.
